They started their dinner in the canteen with Amishi as their guest. “I and Yashwanth are in love”, Amishi sprung the news all of a sudden. Yashwanth shied. “Ada paavi. Nee yenda vekka padra”, sportsman Gopi commented. Everyone started laughing... “Yes. You want to say something Jas”, Amishi asked. Jas with a funny laugh said, “Yashwanth is such a bad guy who thinks if he is able to do a malpractice or mistake in a correct manner, then there is no wrong in it”. Amishi didn't take it in a serious way, but her honest mind noted it down inside. It was the first day of the 4th sem. By this time, Amishi joined in the same gang as Yashwanth. College administration has made a surprise to all hostel students by saying that from then on the hostel mess will be co-ed. So, both boys and girls can have their hostel food in the same mess moreover on the same table. This circular made every soul in the college happy and proud of their college's maturity. Some students have started discussing their subjects in mess; other few made the mess as a park. Things went. Yash and Amishi got closer and closer to every passing day. They started preparing for their placements too. Ganga had planned to proceed with their family restaurant. Topper Vicky has already been placed in an MNC and Gopi got selected in SGFI for Handball.
All six of them were having their chappathi with the special paneer of CEG. Vicky asked about the future plans of his friends. Of course, he knew well about Ganga's future; he indirectly asked for others. Everyone stumbled and said something, just to escape from the situation. But it gave rise to a question within themselves about their future. So, Jas and Gopi had planned to join with Yashwanth’s placement preparations. The next day, by ten minutes to 8 PM, their gang has been returning from Kotturpuram after a dinner at Gokulam cafe. While walking, Yash put his hands on Amishi’s shoulder and discussed the dish they had for dinner. It was dark at Kotturpuram car parking and there seems to be only one sulfur light glowing in the area of 200 metres radius. There must be some problem with the electricity. There at the end of the parking slot, they saw 2 students in between 2 cars. With their position of sitting everyone in the gang guessed those guys were doing something wrong over there. All had a silly smile except Amishi because the guy and gal belong to the same CS department.
Amishi asked her friends, “Does love is only about xyz? Or does love is only about friends with benefits?”.
Just because they have never discussed such a topic before, everyone stopped and looked at each other.
Gopi said, “It’s their personal, we can’t comment”.
Amishi replied, “Yes. No comments but we could share our points amongst us, so that
none of our friends would do the same mistake”.
All nodded their heads.
All of them took a seat at the Wi-Fi hut near the alumni center.
